We love our cats so much that we decided to foster baby kittens for the animal shelter. A litter needed a home on Wednesday so we went to the shelter right after running club to pick them up. It was a mother and her four babies. She was feral. Someone had set a trap and caught her hoping to help her because she was going to starve. We brought her home and immediately fell in love with this new job.
On Thursday I realized she had something wrong with her so we went back to the shelter and they told us that she had worms but she had been dewormed. I won't go into the details of that.
Even Brian who did not want to be foster parents has softened and is happy about the kittens living here.
Our job is to get them healthy and friendly and ready to be adopted.
Two of the kitties have Ines actions but they are doing much better.
It really is a wonderful family mission. We have sat on the porch together for hours looking at the kitties, talking about the kitties, and watching the kitties nurse.
Today I got brave and gave mama kitty a bath. She looks so much better now
Luke says over and over "mama I just can't believe that we have these baby kitties here. I never thought it would really happen."
So far even though the babies are adorable my favorite one is the momma cat. I can't believe how loving and friendly she has become in just four days. She has the best personality.
