Weekend is here!

Last Saturday was a once in a lifetime experience for me, Nate and Henry.  We were allowed to tour the inside of the county nuclear station.
We visited Bryan's  office and the turbine deck. We also had a great time in the training simulator.
You had to be nine years old to do this so Luke couldn't. However he did have a great time with Marlowe and Deedee at Chick-fil-A 5K!

Luke is following in his big brother Henry's footsteps and playing catcher.
He scored his first run Friday night.
Henry is doing great hitting the ball and catching.

Clemson Color Run

We all five signed up to run in the color run this morning. It is the happiest 5K on the planet!
Unfortunately Henry threw up five times during the night so I stayed home with him. The weather was horrible. It was a complete downpour.
The city of Clemson did not do a great job planning the traffic. When Bryan arrived in Clemson the road was blocked for the bikers during a triathlon.
He arrived too late to even run the race. That's okay though because who really wants to run in the rain anyway? They had a great time at the post race party and got soaking wet and covered with color!
The race group was very nice to offer us another race for free. We are going to run in September in Atlanta.
Turned out to be a great day. Henry is feeling better.

Keowee junior Beta Club

Being a mom to my 3 boys is so much fun.  They are all 3 so different, and I'm enjoying watching them grow into the men they will be.  Tonight was Henry's Beta Club induction.  This year Keowee Elementary included 4th grade (they are the only elementary school to do this) and Henry was thrilled to take part.

Sometimes Henry is so much like me that it's scary.  He thought it would be funny to do this and not only did he have the entire group laughing, but he had this very cool 5th grader doing it too!

Sam

Sam is, by far, our bravest kitty.  Sometimes she even sleeps outside!  About a week ago, so was on the front porch when a super mean neighborhood cat, "Bob,"' beat her up.  I noticed her dragging around for a few days, then this super giant knot grew on her side.  After $191 at the vet, she has a drain tube coming out of her side (that I have to milk twice a day) and a very uncomfortably collar to prevent her from licking her wound.
Thanks Shannon for recommending a much more expensive collar, that is much more comfortable.  She will be fine, Bob may not.

Day 2 -Teotihuacan

We boarded the bus this morning at 7:30 AM to head about 25 miles north of the city. Teotihuacan is a small city built around 10 a day. There are two major temples they are, the temple of the sun and temple at the moon. We climb to the top of the larger one, the temple of the sun. Bryan's  fit bit said we went about 8 1/2 miles today so it was a lot of walking!
 We were rocking the bus!

Henry's teeth

Henry has some dental surgery yesterday.

He did great and felt ok after, but today has been rough. His face is swollen and he's in a lot of pain. Say a prayer he will wake up tomorrow much better!

Made it home!

The entire vacation was such an adventure. This is our taxi from the bus station to Mexico City airport. While I was sick Bryan found a gorgeous star shaped light and somehow it made it home in perfect condition.
After another night of extreme stomach cramps and bathroom visits, we finally made it to the airport. The flight home was uneventful, perfect in my book.
The cowboy boots Luke purchased in Mexico have been on his feet more than off since we made it home. He has worn them to school Monday and Tuesday. Thank you John daddy for taking him to get a cowboy hat to match today!

More S.M.A.

This was the last meal. The last meal before the most horrible food poison/stomach virus ever hit me. Bryan and I both were sick all night with diarrhea and vomiting. His only lasted about 24 hours however mine is going on 48 hours. All day today I have had fever and chills and aches along with diarrhea. I'm so sad because I've missed lots of fun stuff. Please pray that I will be better tonight and get to enjoy tomorrow with my family.
These two stinkers played a trick on Denise last night. They unscrewed the top of the hot red pepper flakes and she went to pour it on her pizza and it dumped every where!

We are having such a good time. I just want to feel better soon
 Getting ice cream after dinner

Mark and Denise say this is a "roof dog." Roof dogs are placed on the roofs for security reasons and left to spend their whole lives up there alone. This particular dog has about an 8' x 8' area. The owners throw food up for it and he spends his whole life out in the elements. Even though you know he is up there, he runs toward you and barks every time you pass never failing to scare you.
