Luke

Luke has challenged me this week in ways Nate and Henry never thought of when they were 4 years old. It's tough sometimes being so much younger and not getting to do the fun things big kids get to do. Luke loves his brothers and wants their attention and praise, however, if he doesn't get positive attention from them, he will go for negative attention. (Chasing them with a baseball bat, etc)
On a more positive note...
I'm so proud of him! He's turning into an awesome T ball player! When he is in the outfield, he goes after that ball wherever it is hit. Even if someone else on his team catches it, he will wrestle them to the ground to get it! That would be him on top of the dog-pile. The coaches surely have their hands full with him.
I also just heard that he scored high enough to get into a mentoring program at James M Brown this fall. This is something Henry did the year before he started kindergarten and it was fantastic!

Warning...grotesque photos ahead

Yeah...you knew this picture was coming. The ruler is in centimeters by the way. Boys are fine, they're so brave. Also, I damaged a couple of toenails at the Disney half marathon. I knew they would come off eventually but why does it have to be the night before (or maybe the day of) the mud run Bryan and I are entered in?!?cant decide whether to go ahead and rip it off or wrap with a bandaid and hope it stays til run is over.

Laughing gas

Right now we are sitting in the dentist office. Nate and Henry are both having the 2 bottom bicuspids pulled. Last night Henry wanted Nate to tell him what to expect at the dentist. In all seriousness, Nate turned to Henry and said, "well Henry, you're going to get gas. This is how it works. Dr Horton is going to come into the room and bend over and fart (yes he used that word I hate) right in your face. She will say, 'Henry, breathe in deep through your nose.' That will give you gas. Pretty soon you will both be in there farting like crazy."
You should have seen the look on Henry's face!
Prayers appreciated... They're brave but still a little nervous.

Boston

Sad and shocked to hear of the tragedy at Boston marathon after our evening at the ball field. Prayers to all the families, especially the children.
Nate and Henry at their first game, Nate playing second base, Henry catching. Luke was a riot. His new favorite sport is tee ball.
