World of energy

4 th grade field trip was a hit today! I was just glad to get out of the house after a week at home...virus hit the boys 1 by 1. Seem to be better now. Love this group of kids!

Charleston continued

On our way, so excited to meet Silas & Merritt for lunch.  Everything was going great until...

WE RAN OUT OF GAS!!!  Who does that anymore?? Bryan was on a conference call and didn't notice gas gauge.  This was a first (and hopefully a last) for me.  Needless to say, we were late for our lunch date.

Back on the road! But wait, here comes a rock off the road, hits our windshield and cracks it! Hope I have better race for the half marathon the next day!

Getting settled into Charleston Resort & Marina, next time we're getting the suite.

Our hotel has a sandy beach area and bikes to borrow

Nate 2013 predictions

Charleston half marathon

This past weekend, we went to Charleston for the 3rd annual Charleston Marathon/Half Marathon.  Christy Burrell and I have been training since September for this exciting day.  We had a great time, finished the race with PR's and enjoyed beautiful Charleston every step of the way.  We also had a great time visiting with Mark, Denise, Silas & Merritt.  Pictures to come!

It was an awesome race, one I would highly recommend to anyone considering a half, completely flat! That's what I like!

It won't be long

Elf on the Shelft

An elf showed up at our house this year and he was delightful! He toilet papered the Christmas tree

The boys just loved finding him each morning.  This day he replaced our Christmas stockings with our underwear! Naughty elf!

It was a race every morning to see who could spot him first.

The catch is, if you touch him, he will lose some of his magic.

The morning after Luke touched him, he couldn't get back in the house!

If Henry ever mentioned eating poop, well not worries, it was elf poop!

He hung around until Christmas eve, then headed to the North Pole with Santa. We all hope he will return next Christmas!

Happy New Year!

We had lots of fun last night with our 2nd Annual Kid-Friendly New Year's Eve Party!  Our ball dropped at 7:30pm, just in time for the Clemson/LSU kickoff! Happy New Year!
