Got this email yesterday!!

Dear Joy,

Congratulations, your program has been selected to receive a 2013 Kids Run the Nation Grant in the amount of $500. The national selection panel received over 230 applications and your program was selected to receive a grant based on the fact that your program was a strong match for our grant criteria.

You will receive a check from the RRCA along with a letter that you need to sign and return acknowledging that you have received the check and will abide by the grant criteria. You will have twelve months to spend your grant funds so you can use these funds in the spring, summer or fall of 2014.

You will be required to complete an online reporting form in October 2014 outlining details about your program and how funds were utilized. We do request that you share a photo of your program that the RRCA can use for promotional purposes.

If for any reason the program is cancelled before the funds are expended, you must return all unused funds to the RRCA: Kids Run the Nation Fund.

Congratulations and thank you for inspiring a lifetime of fitness through running.

Best,
Andy Smith

3 posts in 1 day!!

Wow! But I just had to share these points i loved from a sermon today. The "whoever" referred to in #1 is " for God so loved the world that he gave his only son WHOEVER believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Sunday

We don't make a habit of skipping church, but moments like this are few and far between!

Happy birthday Henry! 9 years old!

Happy birthday Henry!  For some reason, Henry slept on the couch in our bedroom the night before his birthday.  I laid awake half the night worried he wasn't resting, he said it was the best night of sleep he'd had in a while.  He's enjoying his favorite snack "Pirate's Booty" just before school.  Stay back TigerLilly! Henry's not gonna share this stuff!

We had a great birthday dinner with MeMa and Papa and John Daddy and DeeDee at Yoshi's, Henry wanted sushi for his birthday!
Sweet Dan and singing and playing Happy Birthday to Henry despite a broken thumb.
Henry is so happy to get some money for his birthday and a lifeproof case for his ipod.  Now he can video underwater!
It was cowboy day at Golden Corner Preschool.
Nate spent Saturday morning carving his very first jack-o-lantern.  He did it all by himself!  He did an awesome job!
He's awesome with a pocketknife!
It was not dark enough outside, so Bennett and Nate enjoyed the jack-o-lantern in the pantry!
Sweet Campbell had her birthday party at the tailgate!
8pm kickoff meant Bryan cooks his famous Low Country Boil at the tailgate.  It's so fun to hear people walking by whispering "wow! that's how you tailgate!"
Nate and Wright were helping cook.  and I mean really helping!
Sandy and Bobby brought crab legs for the stew (Sarah's favorite!)
Soups on!
It's always fun to have Brooke at the game.  Betty was having a girls weekend in Greenville so she got to hang with us.  Kids had a blast playing 4 square with her!
Free Soup People!  Of course, the kids ended up making their own gross concoction.  They couldn't give it away, but they sure got some attention from passerbys
Glow sticks!
Such fun! I'm already excited to celebrate Elizabeth's 40th birthday, she's the last of the group to hit the big 4-0!

Greenville zoo

Nate and Henry are quite jealous that Luke had another field trip with Mrs Becky's class to the Greenville zoo Tuesday! Luke wanted Bryan to go this time.
It was a beautiful day and they had a great time!
Tuesday was our 14th wedding anniversary. I surprised Bryan was a massage at simplicity spa and salon. He said it was the best massage he's ever had..,,and he's had lots!
Happy fall!

40 ain't nothing but a number!

It's been a good birthday! The only thing that could've made it better is if this little turkey would stay healthy and fever free!
He's been fine since Friday but started running a fever again this afternoon.
Had an awesome running club today!
This is the 3-5grade group. Hot and humid but this 5th grader may just earn the first 26.2 charm next week!
Thank you Bryan for picking up birthday dinner from Wendy's!
We'd planned on going out but when you have a sick child, plans change and you do what's best for your baby. Thanks for all the birthday wishes!

Bryan and my girlfriends were planning a surprise birthday party for me!
And believe me...I was very surprised!
Such a fun night!
I am blessed with some wonderful friends!
And a super sweet husband!
