Nate and cross country

Do you know how much it thrills me to see him part of a team? He has fallen for cross country!! He loves it and he's doing great! His first timed trial(5 k, 3.1 miles) two weeks ago was 32 minutes 30 seconds. One week later he shaved 2 1/2 minutes off coming in at 30 minutes! He was so proud and received a round of applause from the team! He still one of the slower runners ( top runner is 17 minutes) but I'm so proud of how far he's came. Tuesday, September 1 at 5:30 will be the first home cross country meet in 10 years! Eight schools will meet at the new Walhalla high school to compete. I can't wait!

School days

I'm back to tidying up! School day one was spent working on the desk when you walk into the kitchen from the garage. Everyone was shocked to see nothing there when they got home!
If you've been in my house in the past year or five this is usually covered in piles of paper purses bags etc.
I know Bryan Will be especially happy to see this the next time he reaches for Tupperware.
You may make fun of me behind my back but Luke was in bed last night at 7:30, Nate and Henry 745! But they felt great this morning. Rocking day 2 like a boss!

Pigeon Forge 2015

We had a great time this past weekend in pigeon Forge with Mema and Papa! We enjoyed Dollywood Saturday afternoon and Sunday.
The boys loved watching the craftsman work with glass. They are blowing a glass pumpkin now. We saw the pumpkins final product the next day selling for $60.
We all enjoyed the amazing bird show. Especially Luke!
Getting soaked on the log flume
Soaking everybody else on the river battle.
Mema and Papa spoiling the boys.
Absolutely wore out from riding so many rides!
Henry with his main squeeze… Dolly!
They still claim that the highlight of the trip was the hotel pool.
Thanks Mema and Papa for a great trip.

Cross country

Nate ran his first 5K today. I was very proud of him because he ran it in 32 minutes. Can't wait to see all the improvement this season holds for him. I must say that he loves it now. Walhalla will be having their first home meet on September 2. They haven't had a home meet in at least 8 years possibly more. Today they ran their first time trial on the new course at the new high school.

Walhalla Middle School

It was an early morning for me (Bryan and boys slept in and joined later) to work at the new middle school! Due to several schools in the district not being completed yardwork is not a priority right now.
Mr Dixon was thrilled with the great turnout!
The kids worked so hard!
Unbelievable, I know.... Me weed eating!
