Golf

Today was the first day of the summer golf program.  Nate has participated for 3 years, Henry for 2 years. Luke and I walked them to the sign up table where Coach Magnus said to Luke , "are you playing?"
I replied for Luke," no, he's not old enough. he will be here next year."
"You need to play this year." She replied
" he's not old enough" I repeated
" I think he is" she (lady in charge of everything) says
" no, he's really not " I said " he's my baby, he's only 5"
" you need to let him try" she says "I think he'd love it."
Luke looks up at me beaming.
"You're not old enough." I tell him.
She steers us around the corner where they fit him with golf shoes, no charge.
I say " those don't fit you. Your feet are too little"
"Mom, they fit perfect" he says
I have no reply
"Well, just try it today. If you like it, you can do it." I say "but if you don't, you don't have to do it. This is just a trial."

He was over the moon when I picked him up. 2 1/2 hours of golf! I'm sure next week will be different and he will hate it and want to hang with me.

Cruising Friday

PFriday was another day at sea as we headed back to tampa. We spent a good part of the day on the pool deck where there was lots of entertainment, like this ice sculpture.
We ate and ate and ate! I think we all gained a few pounds ( except for Nate).
We got dressed early that night and met at 5 so the kids could play uno. Dinner at 6!
We enjoyed a family friendly comedy show after ( kids got front row, of course!)
It was a great spring break! So glad we got to share it together. Our motto this week was...if the kids are having fun, then we're having fun! Can't wait to plan another adventure.

Cruising Thursday

Thursday we were in Cozumel Mexico all day! Mandy found us a fantastic all inclusive beach club called Mr Sanchos.  After we paid $70 for taxis to take us there (eek !) it was a great time!
They had hammocks
ocean inflatables
A swim up bar And snorkeling for everyone
All you can eat food, seriously good stuff like coconut shrimp, fish tacos and garlic shrimp (Henry had 3 orders!)

Lots of fun in the sun!
The kids were exhausted by the time we returned to ship.
We all did our own thing that night. My family went to the 8:30 seating of dinner.  Luke loved the fancy dinners. That night we met a cool guy from Korea.
Luke by the end of dinner,
Glad everyone was feeling healthy! What a great fun day in Mexico!

Cruising Wednesday

Wednesday was probably my favorite day. I hate that Bobby was feeling sick and missed it. Good reason for us to return!
We docked in Grand Cayman at 8 am where our snorkeling guide picked us up.
Our group of 13 was joined by 6 others for a half day outing on a catamaran
After about an hours ride out into the beautiful Caribbean Ocean, we stopped at a reef to snorkel.
Our guide was amazing! She pointed out cool fish and even a moray eel!

She was in no rush and let us snorkel as long as we wanted.
Then we headed to the sandbar where stingrays gather. Lots of pictures of stingrays on post below.
At 3 pm we headed back to the boat. We enjoyed watching the boarding process from our balcony.
Dinner is at 6, but first....
Let me take a selfie!
Sporting their bling!
Henry assisting in a magic show after dinner.
Smoothies!

Stingrays!

I'm glad I found out this is what killed Steve Irwin (crocodile hunter) afterwards. Otherwise I would have been scared! It was really fun!
I love this! Sandy kissing in the background
The stingrays loved Ashley!
Mandy is getting a good kiss!
Luke is an amazing snorkeler , but he wasn't so sure about this.
F
unday, but we sure did miss Bobby! He was on boat, sick with the stomach virus.
Ring around the sun
Bryan and our Italian captain.
