Yesterday was a very long day. We said goodbye to Silas and Merritt and headed to Atlanta for a 7:30 PM flight to San Francisco.
Thank goodness we left for the Atlanta airport around 1:30 PM because traffic was terrible. We arrived and got through security just in time to have a nice dinner at TGI Friday's.
The flight was excruciatingly long and I must say that United Airlines doesn't hold a candle to Delta. But we finally arrived in San Francisco at 10:30 local time which was 1:30 AM East Coast time.
We got our rental car, but not this one
Got to bed by midnight which was 3 AM East Coast time got a few hours of sleep and then woke up to this delicious breakfast.
Top thing on Luke's list to do was to head to Chinatown. His uncles had told him that he could possibly buy a small human head or body part there. Unfortunately or maybe fortunately we did not find one. We did however find this adorable hat for $4.99.
Plenty of interesting things to see in Chinatown
We had lunch in the North Beach district which is Italian. Then we got on this fantastic open air bus and took a nice long tour of the city.
Here is the Westin St. Francis Hotel. This was my layover hotel during the time I work for Delta. I spent many nights here and enjoyed so many layovers!
Headed toward the Golden gate Bridge.
