Golf awards night

Nate loves golf! He was so proud tonight. Blue ridge junior golf program is excellent!

The work pays off!

Thursday we painted Nate & Henry's bedroom, and boy did I have a lot of "help!" 

Nate really wanted to do this so of course I said "yes" after all it is his room.  The really super part is that he painted it rather thick and I let it dry before I got around to rolling this well.  Which means, you can still sort of read it even after we painted over it.  That's okay, it made a great memory. 

The finished bunkbeds.  These were the brown ones in Nate & Henry's room which now make Luke's room look new! He's so excited, but not excited enough to sleep in them all night.  He still woke up in my bed this morning....I don't mind, he's a super snuggler.

Finally, the RoomsToGo truck arrives with Nate & Henry's new bed. 

Aren't they awesome! Henry slept til after 7 this morning, so they must be extra cozy!

A big fat mess!

We are under construction! Here is the finished bookcase (that when Bryan saw he said I could never pick up a paintbrush again)  I think it looks quite nice.  And the floor looks fine now too now that I scraped all the paint off. 

N H L and I worked our fannies off today clearing out their room for painting tomorrow. 

Almost 8 years in this house and it reallly showed, especially under the bed!

He had to have a large chunk cut out of his foot yesterday and it's been a little more painful than he imagined.  Poor Bryan, guess I will have to just pick up that paintbrush after all!

Isle of palms weekend

Bryan and I took a two night trip (no kids) to the isle of palms with a few friends. We had so much fun! The boys spent Friday and half of Saturday with Bryan's parents and Saturday night until we returned Sunday with my mama and daddy.....thanks grandparents for letting us go with no worries about our kids! Here are a few pictures (I stole from Mandy) of our fun weekend.

Painting

We've decided to paint! Hoping that we only paint the bookshelves and bunk beds....I'm a little nervous we may end up painting the wood floors.

Nate the golfer

Nate shows great sportsmanship! He is never a sore loser nor an obnoxious winner. Here he is getting a trophy at the Coogler Memorial Golf Tournament today. I'm so proud of you Nate!

Goodbye Fienbergs

We said goodbye to a sweet friend today. Colin, Gianna, Allie Ron and Barbara are moving to Louisiana. We're going to miss you guys!

Potty prizes

Luke got his first present for pooping. I'm not going to mention that I stayed in the bathroom at the clubhouse with him waiting while everyone else was swimming for at least half an hour. Whatever it takes, right?

What better way to end the evening

Than a rousing game of don't break the ice! Henry just lost to both his brothers!

When all else fails, resort to bribery

Sweet little Luke...he is one tough cookie when it comes to going to the potty. I won't go into great detail here but basically he wants to be the first human who never goes #2. He doesn't want to stop what he's doing long enough to go. I haven't worried too much about it really, he's #3 and by that point you have the philosophy of 'this too shall pass' and I'm sure he will be a super pooper by the time he hits middle school. But I thought, bribery worked great with Nate and Henry when I wanted them to sleep in their bed all night so maybe it will work here. No charts with stickers or stars, I want immediate gratification. So I have gift wrapped a dozen cheap gifts and every day, if Luke poops in the potty, he can choose a prize. we shall see.....

My poor computer

Our computer is almost 10 years old and it's truly been a hindrance when it comes to blogging. Well, it's on it's last leg and I've been trying for weeks to upload about 40 beach pictures but it won't even upload one. I'll just show this picture of Nate with Carly after being gone and this one of Luke just taken tonight. Bryan had been working on the computer all afternoon and was frustrated at work. Luke walked up to Bryan and said 'daddy I need to tell you something... Stop being so grumpy.' I laughed out loud!

Heaven

Is Cold Stone Creamery your idea of heaven? Well I have had 10 days at the beach with no Internet and it was pure bliss! No emails to answer, no Facebook status to post. Looking forward to updating my blog with beach pictures.
