Braces and boys

Thursday afternoon Nate finally got braces!  All Dr. McInnis and Dr. Horton's hard work finally paid off!  (they had pulled 6 teeth total trying to save impacted bicuspids and they dealt with me begging for 2 years to start treatment.  They kept telling me "not yet.  I'm more concerned with the final outcome than how he looks now.) Anyway, they saved the bicuspids and it looks like Nate may not lose any permanent teeth.  He was awesome about getting the braces!  Very nervous, but when it was over he said he loved them!  I'm giving him motrin morning and night, but he hasn't complained a bit!
We had a super fun Friday night.  Shannon and Brian went out of town and asked us to keep Brady overnight.  He and Luke had a blast running between legos, nerf guns and outside.  They really got along well.

Finding a dead bird

Juicing an orange (Nate's idea)

We were also fortunate enough to host Evan (a new friend Nate has met in 6 th grade)  Evan's sister, Katy (who is in Henry's 4th grade class) suffers from a rare form of epilepsy.  She has been approved for brain surgery in Cleveland Ohio next week.  Evan will be staying with us some while his parents are out of town.  Keep Katy in your prayers.  Her surgery is scheduled for Thursday.

Blower fun

Nate and Evan having fun with the blower.  Sweet Nate had just finished cleaning up a mess of dirt on the driveway made by little brother Luke.

2014 holiday concert

Nate had his first band concert last night
It was truly phenomenal to watch how great the six grade band performed after only 90 days of practice!
It was a packed house with standing room only
Sixth seventh and eighth grade performed 3 to 4 songs each.
It was a great night and Nate was very proud of his performance
