More christmas fun!

Tuesday morning we had Christmas with Nanas  family. We usually go to Nanas house, but she requested we go to mamas instead this year. 

After, we enjoyed touring James and Stacie's new house! It was fabulous!

We had a great time with Martha's family at the river house. They had a huge crowd! The boys and men enjoyed tractor work moving a tree that had fell into the creek. Lots of testosterone on that bridge! 

Granny's Christmas was great! We rarely get to see Adam so it was great visiting with him. Next year we will welcome Elizabeth Ann(Adams fiancé) and Andrew (Emily's fiancé)!

On Christmas morning, the boys were up around 5:30 (I was actually surprised they slept that late).  They were thrilled with all the surprises Santa had left. 

These cyco cycles will be lots of fun, hopefully no broke arms.

But probably the most played with toy are these blocks.  "stack n block", they are a knock off of citiblocks and Kaplan blocks.  500 blocks all the same shape and size

Not only were the blocks a hit with the boys, Dad loves them too!

Knocking them down is as much fun as building them up!  Merry Christmas!

I'm going to try to remember this in the coming year!

Full Steam ahead!

Nate loved the steam machine DeeDee and John Daddy got him for Christmas.  He had picked it out from American Science and Surplus and couldn't wait to get it.  He had to completely assemble it and he was thrilled when it worked!

Nate and Henry were up by 5:30 and they were kind enough to wait until 6:30 to wake Luke.  Merry Christmas!

We had a great evening with Mema and Papa enjoying dinner, gifts and company! 

They got some great gifts like lanterns for all 3...

Hopefully this will last them many years.

Nate's Party time!!

What a busy week it's been! Today we had lots of Christmas parties.  I am enjoying Nate's last year of Elementary school by being co-room mother with Carrie.  We had a great party with lots of games & sweets!

We kicked the party off with the classic "draw a Christmas picture on your head" game.  The kids had to follow a few simple instructions and then laugh at the way their picture turned out. 

Then they each held a piece of green construction paper behind their backs and tried to rip little pieces off to make a Christmas tree.  The parents got to be the judges.

The last game was my favorite.  In teams of 4, they choose 1 kid to try to dress up as Santa.  They can only use supplies given: 2 pieces of poster paper, a piece of tin foil, a bunch of cotton balls, tape and twine.

This was probably my favorite game because Nate was the "Santa" in his group.  They went all out creating a big beard and a bigger belly!
