A fun week!

Bryan is working nights all week and weekend so I've been busy trying to keep boys quiet so he can sleep. Usually it's easier to just get them out of the house! Tuesday was the big golf tournament. 

Wednesday we went tubing in Helen , GA with Lana and her 2 children, sandy with her 2 and cousin Anna, Allyson with her 3 and Elizabeth with her 2 boys. I had the pleasure of driving 7 boys in my van! We had a great time. If you happen to notice the awning at Walhalla bantam chef hanging a little lower, it's because I drove through with the luggage carrier on top of my car! 

Friday John daddy and deedee treated us to china inn! Boys got to ride in the Rambler! They will be talking about this for a long time!

Spear making 101

We really appreciate native Americans and their ability to build weapons.

Boys spent hours this afternoon whittling and sawing to make daggers and spears.

I love this activity because I no longer worry about cuts or losing fingers, etc. I only worry about death and major head injuries. So I can relax for this one.

 The blow torch does make me a little nervous....

By the way, the boat you see in the background isn't ours. We are borrowing it to take to beach in a couple weeks for fishing!

Sleepover

Last night we had a sleepover. 4 boys plus my 3 made for a fun night!!

We tried to go fishing but the thunderstorms wouldn't pass. 

We only had 1 minor injury. When we had all 7 boys in the golf cart Walton accidentally hooked Bennett's ear. It really scared Walton more than it hurt Bennett. 

So we made jiffy pop and watched 'Napoleon dynamite' instead!

Miller, Bennett and Walton had to leave early but wright stayed to fish. 

His first catch was a turtle, finally he got a fish! 

Nate seems to always catch fish!

They caught about 5 fish in the net!

We made it home by 530pm

Missing sweet cousins already!!

One last stop (Henry really had to go!!). We had to be customers to use the restroom so Cliff bought a lottery ticket. 

He didn't win. 

Loved every minute of this trip! We drove 1800 miles! What an adventure!

Snooks

After the gator adventure we had lunch at  Gator Bites (where we ate gator, it tasted like chicken). We wanted to find a beach and this was close and free. We called it 'deedee beach' because it was enclosed, no waves no danger. 

Nate finally cut his jackfruit! I don't think it was ripe, the only one who said 'yum' was Merritt. 

Then we had dinner at Snooks. It was yummy, not quite as entertaining as the tarpons until....

Merritt took her dress off. It was a dress Denise had made and it was unique because one long ribbon, strung through the neck held it all together. When she undressed, she pulled the ribbon out making it impossible to put it back on. 

Really livened up our dinner!!
