Nate was scared. Thunderstorms were outside & he ran to my room crying. We went outside to see the rain & know that it was a good thing then I lay with him for a few minutes hoping he would be okay. Then, we heard Henry snoring. So loud. I said "do you want Henry to sleep with you?" "Yes!" So I picked Henry up asleep and said "Nate wants you to sleep with him." Which I'm sure made Henry happy even though he was sound asleep. These sweet brothers. I love them so much!

Marlowe was born today weighing 7 pounds 7 ounces, 19 1/2 inches long and absolutely perfect! We love you sweet girl!

Henry and the spider

Henry's teacher called today for me to pick him up early because he had been bit by a spider. I actually wasn't very worried, but she said Henry was trembling & in pain & I think she was a little concerned. Being the overreacting parent I am, of course I took him straight to the Pediatrician's office. He's fine now, Thank You Lord, and I have learned lots about spiders. Dr. Bean said it was probably a wolf spider (see above), I would be trembling too!
He was well enough to play his baseball game tonight, but he still says his leg hurts and the marks are still there. By the way, this isn't the actual spider that bit Henry, he didn't kill it because he wanted it to live. This is just a picture of a wolf spider off the internet.

Baseball Season

Monday night was Nate's first baseball game and it was loads of fun! He also had a game Tuesday night. Henry has his first tball game Thursday night and another one Friday night. Whew! Too bad I don't really like baseball, huh? Well, I do like anything my boys are participating in. Here are a few pics from Monday.

Great Wolf Lodge

On Thursday we headed to Charlotte, NC for a fun overnight stay at the Great Wolf Lodge. Nate & Henry were thrilled that their friends, Griffin, Miller & Sarah were going, and Bryan and I were pretty excited that Sandy & Bobby, Ashley & Brad were going too. We all had a fun time and I can't wait to go again.

Easter 2010

Easter morning was beautiful with a church service at Biggerstaff on Lake Keowee followed by an egg hunt. Luke was thrilled when he found an Easter egg filled with candy! Here is Stacie & James who are expecting baby Marlowe any day now!

Half Marathon

Happy Easter! What a wonderful and busy week we've had. We enjoyed a great visit from Silas, lots of sunny weather and I finished my half marathon! My knees are still in a great deal of pain, but I have no regrets about my training and I might even do it again one day. I finished in 2 hours 25 minutes, not great but I did run it all.
